Hidden in the Trimbak range, This is the trek most people walk past without ever knowing it exists. 🙏🏔️
Fun facts of this trek - 2,602 ft from MSL. In Pegalwadi. A Shivling at the summit. Views of Gautami Godavari dam, Beje Dam, Anjaneri, Brahmagiri, and Ranjangiri fort — all from a trail barely anyone knows.
We started at 7 AM with a group of 15 — beginners, families, kids — and were back by 10. Three hours of climb, a lifetime of calm.
Peaceful. Spiritual. Untouched.
According to local belief, Shri Hanuman himself lived here after his birth — and you can feel that energy the moment you step onto the ridge.
At the summit, we met a local resident from Anjaneri village Vishal — he climbs up whenever possible just to give offerings at the Shivling. No gear, noone to showcase, just devotion.
At the trailstart, another local had just finished a casual 15K run through the hills before most of us had even started walking.
Living in the city, we chase weekends like this. For them, this is the everyday. 🙏
If you're tired of crowded trails near Trimbak, this is your answer.
Base: Pegalwadi | Start from Shiv Mandir, follow the orange trail markers. Climb: ~1 hr [it took us more 3 hours due to varied group] | Difficulty: Easy | Ideal for families & beginners
