[ ] (why?)
- Region: Near Makhmalabad, Nashik; part of local hill line you see from the city.[web:12][web:15]
- Grade: Easy–Moderate; straightforward climb but with steady incline.
- Route: Base near Gavlawadi/Makhmalabad → gradual trail on grassy slopes → more defined path near the top → temple and open summit area; descent often via a slightly different jungle path for variety.
- Trek time: ~1.5–2 hrs up, ~1–1.5 hrs down, plus picnic time at top.
- Access: Short drive from Nashik; very convenient “any weekend” trek.
- Best season: Post-monsoon; in winter it becomes a great practice and “conditioning” hill.
- Water/food: No guaranteed water on trail; carry 2 L and snacks; your group often does summit picnic.
- Safety: In jungle descent, always keep one leg firmly placed and test next foothold, especially on loose soil and leaves.
- Fact: This is your “story-rich” trek where you met a 100-year-old man living alone on the hill and shared food and money with him, turning the hike into a life lesson.[conversationhistory:8]
